Who Are The Indie-Pendants?

The Indie-Pendants are a live duo/act formed by two friends (both called Rich) who met whilst playing in another band together. We found that not only did we share the same name but also similar tastes in music and a love of playing live. Both of us are keen musicians with over 20 years musical experience between us having played both covers and original music in previous bands. You can find out more about us here.

As a duo we use backing tracks for drums, keyboards etc but perform all guitars (lead, rhythm and bass) and vocals ourselves so it’s much more like seeing a live band than a karaoke-style act. We can also play ‘unplugged’, just us without any backing tracks or with acoustic guitar to provide a change of pace and offer people something a bit different.

What Kind of Songs Do We Play?

We play a mixture of modern and classic rock covers and have picked a wide range of songs we personally like that are also very popular and well known. We feel when you’re playing music you genuinely like and enjoy yourself it can only benefit your performance so everyone’s a winner. Our usual set includes household names, old and new, such as Oasis, the Beatles, U2, Coldplay, Stereophonics, Franz Ferdinand, Van Morrison, Guns n Roses, Feeder and the Animals to name but a few. What Can We Do For You?

We’re professional, easy-going and aim to provide enjoyable, quality musical entertainment, the more everyone else enjoys the show the more we get out of doing it.

We prefer to deal with people directly rather than through an agency wherever possible in order to establish a personal, and hopefully lasting, relationship as well as keeping costs down.

We provide everything we need to play; PA, amps, basic lighting etc and also send out personalised promotional posters in advance of every gig. We usually play three sets totalling at least 120 minutes, not including breaks or encores.

We are based in the Midlands but willing to play further afield, though we may request additional expenses depending on distance.
